Michael Sweeney founded SWEENEY APC in 2017 after his time as partner at AMLAW 25 firm Squire Patton Boggs LLP, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in consumer and commercial litigation. Throughout his career, he has defended Fortune 500 companies with a focus on automotive distributors and their lenders.
The move away from “big law” has empowered him to not only provide more efficient and agile services to his clients, but to foster a more inclusive, modern, and positive work environment for firm employees.
Michael is an active member of the Lemon Law Defense Counsel Alliance and a leading voice in the automotive breach of warranty industry. As a successful first chair trial attorney, trying cases to verdict throughout California, Michael also handles arbitrations, and has obtained favorable results for his clients in hundreds of individual and mass mediations.
When out of the office, he enjoys spending his free time with his three children, traveling, playing golf, and following his favorite LA sports teams.
