Augustus H. Tabor III brings extensive automotive industry knowledge—including through his representation of dealerships, manufacturer-distributors, and finance companies. Mr. Tabor holds special expertise in claims brought under the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Unfair Competition Law, Automobile Sales & Finance Act and Truth in Lending Act, as well as the Song-Beverly and Magnusson-Moss Warranty Acts.
During his time in law school, Mr. Tabor worked at one of the largest private law firms in west central Indiana, where he worked primarily in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage litigation, and real estate. Mr. Tabor also worked for the Office of the United States Trustee in Indianapolis, Indiana where he assisted with the administration and oversight of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. Mr. Tabor also has trial experience representing indigent persons charged with misdemeanors and Level 6 felonies as a certified legal intern through the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic.
Mr. Tabor is a former nationally ranked chess player and enjoys hiking, running, boating, and playing tennis.
He holds an undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and obtained his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
